CASEY CARES NOW WILL SERVE FAMILIES WITH CRITICALLY ILL KIDS IN SEVEN STATES

HOMESIDE FINANCIAL WELCOMES NEW NEIGHBORS BY MATCHING DONATIONS UP TO $10,000!

The Casey Cares Foundation, now entering its 17th year serving families with critically ill children, is proud and excited to expand into Ohio, marking the seventh state of operation for the non-profit organization.

Founded in 2000 serving a handful of families, Casey Cares will work with close to 800 families with critically ill children this year alone. Casey Cares provides a variety of uplifting programs and activities such as weekend getaways, tickets to sporting events and concerts, birthday surprises and gift cards to children with any critical illness in Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, D.C.

Homeside Financial, which has close to 200 employees across multiple office locations in Ohio, wanted to be the first to welcome its new neighbors to town. The mortgage company created a “Be a Hero for the Holidays” fundraising page on social media and has promised to match and double all donations up to $10,000 to Casey Cares:

“Homeside Financial heard about Casey Cares expanding to Ohio, and their immediate reaction was to reach out to us as new members of the community,” said Casey Cares Founder and Executive Director, Casey Baynes. “They truly are committed to their neighborhoods, and we couldn’t be more excited to make our new home with this company.”

“We are so proud to be partnering with an organization that has such an incredible mission,” stated Homeside’s Co-Founder and Managing Partner, Dan Snyder. “We have been working alongside Casey Cares and participating in many fundraising activities since the opening of our company over 3 years ago, and we are thrilled to finally have their operations directly here in Ohio.”

Casey Cares serves children at more than 100 hospitals, health-care centers and hospices, and its programs provide emotional well-being to families who are so physically, emotionally and financially drained by having a child battling cancer, sickle cell disease, heart ailments and many other devastating diseases.

Whether it is tickets to a baseball of football game or a group party, Casey Cares believes that children should be kids first, having fun family moments and lasting memories. More than 20,000 program participants enjoyed Casey Cares programs this year alone.
