Chris Davis had a ball with our Casey Cares families!

Posted: Jun 24, 2016

Baltimore Orioles First Baseman Chris Davis crushed it for our Casey Cares kids and their families, spending a morning with them at Extra Innings in Elkridge, Maryland. He played whiffle ball with the kids, signed autographs and lifted the spirits of critically ill children and their families.

Chris and his wife, Jill, are the Race Ambassadors for the Casey Cares 5K Run/Walk at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on Saturday, August 6th, and it's an event you won't want to miss! The race finishes on the field at Oriole Park at Camden Yards and you are supporting a great cause in Casey Cares!

Register by July 18th to receive your official race T-shirt!

One of the children who attended the event is Damari, who has undergone a liver transplant. She will be a special guest of the Orioles Saturday when she throws out the first pitch of the game! She is beyond thrilled and enjoyed meeting Chris Davis today!

"The last few years have been a blessing for us to be able to be around these kids," Chris said. "Really, these kids lift us up so much we kind of feel like we're the ones taking everything away! We love what Casey Cares is all about!"

Thanks so much to the Orioles, Chris Davis and the amazing staff at Extra Innings for making these incredible moments for our kids and their families! Thanks also to Pizza Hut of Maryland for providing lunch for our families! And thanks also to Mike Buscher Photography for capturing some amazing moments from the day! Be sure to check back at CaseyCares.org as we will post all of Mike's great work soon!
