Caring Connections Party at Smith Memorial Playground in Philadelphia!

The Casey Cares Foundation held an intimate group party to connect families facing similar medical challenges at the Smith Memorial Playground in Philadelphia on Monday, August 14th. The Smith Memorial Playground is closed to the public on Mondays, but the staff invited Casey Cares families to come for a private day to play. The Smith Memorial Playground features a 16,000-square foot playhouse with a special adaptive slide for children in wheelchairs, in addition to 6.5 acres of land to explore.

"These are the little moments and lasting memories we try to create for our families throughout the year,” said Casey Baynes, Casey Cares Founder and Executive Director. “For a few hours today, our families will be able to connect with each other in a safe, fun play environment together and do what all children should be doing this summer—enjoying family time—instead of spending time in hospitals and in doctors’ offices. We are so glad we could team up with Smith Memorial Playground to have this terrific event.”

Thanks so much to the staff at the Smith Memorial Playground and to our wonderful volunteers from St. Joseph's Alpha Phi Omega community service fraternity.

The event was a huge success for our families! Contact Erin at 443-568-0064 or email her at Erin@CaseyCaresFoundation.org to get your group involved in one of these great group parties!
