Your school can help Casey Cares critically ill children while winning amazing prizes, including prizes for every participating student. April 16th is #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty and we need your help!
We are celebrating Casey Cares 6th Annual Biggest Pajama Party all April long! Maybe you have collected pajamas for Casey Cares kids in the past, maybe you haven’t – either way it is fun, easy and a great way to get your kids helping kids!
Schools are collecting new, two-piece pajamas and gift cards for pizza delivery. These pajamas are given to pediatric patients on extended hospital stays at area hospitals. Inspired by Casey Cares kiddo Kamryn, who had a flair for fashion and loved wearing new cozy pjs at the hospital instead of scratchy hospital gowns, Casey Cares has given away more than 89,000 pairs of pajamas in Kamryn’s memory. A #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty Flyer can be downloaded here.
Any school, company, group or organization anywhere can participate in the pj drive. However, if your school is located in Maryland from Westminster to Aberdeen, all the way out to Kent Island, down to Edgewater or as far west as Laurel and Clarksville (or anywhere in between) you can win prizes from The Greater Baltimore Area Chick-fil-A Restaurants! The Greater Baltimore Area Chick-fil-A Restaurants are partnering with us to provide prizes for every participating student, prizes for teachers, homeroom and grade-level prizes!!!! Details about Chick-fil-A's My School Cares Program can be found here.
We are hoping it makes it as easy as possible for your school to participate, especially in what has been an overly complicated year, so Chick-fil-A has even offered to pick up the pajamas from your school on April 16th on #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty, but you must register by March 5th!
This year is different, not every school will be able to participate due to the ongoing pandemic. If your school is able to host a drive, we hope that you will, as so many cannot. Feel free to be creative, maybe the PTA or a school club can take on the collection this year. St. Mary’s Elementary School in Annapolis collected 550 pairs of pjs in January and Youth’s Benefit School in Fallston collected 355 pairs of pajamas last month, even though their school was closed to students! The need for our programs is increasing and we appreciate your support!
Please, help us spread the word. Email the details to a neighboring school and challenge them to a collection contest or enlist your family and neighborhood in the drive. We need all the help we can get to fulfill the requests of our families and hospitals.
Don't forget to let us know if your school will be participating. We need to have you signed up by March 5th in order to participate in the prizes! You can conduct the drive anytime now through April. Your drive should end by April 15th if you would like CFA to pick them up!
