More than 100 people from the Casey Cares Foundation set sail on a very special, private cruise in Philadelphia.
Families enjoyed an onboard lunch. They also met princess characters, played games, danced to music and had lots of fun.
"We were so excited for families in our Casey Cares programs to have this unique opportunity,” said Casey Cares Founder and Executive Director Casey Baynes. “For many of our families, their idea of getting out is going to the doctor for an appointment or a hospital stay. They cannot go and take a long vacation, but their families still need quality time together and a little escape from the reality of difficult and often rigorous medical treatment. Taking a few hours to enjoy all of the amenities on a cruise ship was a vacation in and of itself!”
A big thanks to Spirit Cruises for making the sail possible.
"Giving back to the community is important to Spirit Cruises and this afforded us an opportunity to connect with Casey Cares in a meaningful way,” said Dan Leaman, General Manager for Entertainment Cruises, the parent company of Spirit Cruises.
