Casey Cares kids and their families had a blast as they got to see the Air Force Thunderbirds take flight! Our families were VIP guests at both Fort McHenry and at Martin State Airport during Maryland's Fleet Week celebrations, receiving special seating, meet and greets with the Thunderbirds and seeing planes up close! The Casey Cares families at Fort McHenry got a sneak preview of the Thunderbirds' air show. 

It was an amazing experience to see the planes up close! 

This is the first year the Thunderbirds invited our families, and they made sure every child in our programs became an "honorary" Thunderbird.

Thanks so much to Lynn May for coordinating this effort, to the Thunderbirds and to the GEICO Skytypers for making this such a special memory for critically ill kids and our families. Instead of thinking about being in the hospital or going to a doctor's appointment, they had their sights in the clouds and their heads in the stars!
