Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman. You never who you might run into at the Casey Cares 16th Gala, in which superheroes of all types will gather at the American Visionary Art Museum March 19th.
The Casey Cares Superhero Soiree will be an evening filled with great food and drinks, dancing, live and silent auctions and, of course, we will honor all the superheroes who make all things possible for the critically ill kids and their families at Casey Cares!
It takes a lot of super powers to charge up our programs every year and last year was no exception. In 2015, Casey Cares served more than 700 families and engaged them in nearly 10,000 activities! In all, we provided 9,441 activities for 18,204 participants --- that’s one activity every 56 minutes! We provided more than 6,300 new pairs of pajamas to kids at hospitals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Special thanks go to our Supermen, the Gala co-chairs this year --- Bob Weltchek and Todd Travis --- for their hard work, generosity and dedication.
We also want to thank our Gala title sponsors --- The National Foundation for Affordable Housing Solutions, Inc., Weltchek, Mallahan & Weltchek, CohnReznick, Nixon Peabody, EagleBank, Jaime and Andrew Schwartzberg, WMMX-Mix 106.5 FM, The Baltimore Sun and Clear Channel Outdoors -- for making this event so mighty.
This year we are spotlighting two of our major donors for helping us reach those milestones! We are proud to present our 2016 Champion of Children Award honors to Aerotek and Most Valuable Kids.
With Reagan Warfield of Mix 106.5 and Lynette Charles, meteorologist at WMAR-TV as our emcees, we are looking forward to an evening filled with fun!
