Two of our Casey Cares children battling leukemia got to put their medical problems and challenges aside for a couple of hours when they went on a very special shopping trip with none other than Ronnie Stanley, an offensive lineman for the Baltimore Ravens!
Ronnie lost two grandparents to cancer, and he wanted to give back to families in the Baltimore area whose lives also have been touched by the disease. So he contacted Casey Cares and treated two of our kids to a Halloween shopping spree they won't soon forget!
Noah and Kevric, both 7-year-old boys battling leukemia, had the time of their lives running up and down the aisles at Party City in Owings Mills with their new best friend, 6-foot-5, 315-pound Ronnie, who joined the Ravens as a rookie this season. In addition to buying new Halloween costumes and candy for the kids, Ronnie also surprised the kids with a backpack and duffle bag filled with other goodies -- shoes, jerseys and more, courtesy of Zappos!
The best treat, however, was yet to come as he provided both Noah and Kevric two tickets to the Ravens' next home game against rival Pittsburgh!
Suffice it to say, the boys and their families had a blast! The experience meant so much to both families. Diagnosed with leukemia at the age of 6, Noah has had an incredibly tough year with chemotherapy treatments. He has been lucky that his big sister, Dasia, decided to spend the year taking college courses locally instead of going away for college to help care for him. Kevric, meanwhile, has had his own challenges, not only battling leukemia but also having a mom who has cancer. Kevric's family home was nearly destroyed in an electrical fire on Sept. 30 as well, so this shopping spree was a wonderful surprise for a family that had been living in a hotel with many of their belongings lost in the fire.
Ronnie brightened the boys' day as you can see in this video created by Intersport. We guarantee you will be smiling!

Thank you so much to Ronnie, Jisset of RocNation, John and Tina and the rest of the staff at Party City and Zappos for creating this lasting memory for our Casey Cares kids and their families.
