Over the weekend, Casey Cares sent a kid fighting cancer on a fishing trip on the Chesapeake Bay, a young girl with a brain tumor to see a national gymnastics tour at Verizon Center, another child worried about her impending chemo treatment to see the movie Trolls and a surprise birthday gift to a child with sickle cell disease.

Here's what Chiara, the mother of 4-year-old Calais, had to say about being able to spend a mother-daughter night at Verizon Center to see the Kellogg's Tour of Gymnastics Champions: "Calais had a WONDERFUL time! She even walked and tried to jump off the escalator. Thank you to your organization."

Here's what Dolapo emailed us after a special birthday gift arrived for her 5-year-old daughter, Ademore: "Hi Casey Cares Family. Ademore would like to express her profound gratitude for your gift on her birthday. She was very exciting and happy with the Robot dog. She says a very BIG thank you. We appreciate your kindness and generosity." 

And here's what Miriam wrote us about her daughter, Ellie, who got to go to the movies this past weekend: "I just wanted to thank you guys again for the movie tickets! I took the kids to see Trolls this afternoon, and it was the perfect distraction for Ellie, since she has chemo and spinal tap tomorrow and gets really nervous the day before. Please pass on our thanks to the donors... She even got chicken fingers for her snack... All time favorite food!"

Austin, meanwhile, spent Sunday morning fishing on the Chesapeake Bay with Captain Brady and Casey Michelle Charters LLC. Austin is 16 and is battling osteosarcoma, a former of cancer that attacks the bone. His family recently got some hard news that Austin will need to continue his treatment. He loves to fish and his mom knew a day on the water would mean so much for her son. "Austin had a great time fishing," she wrote. "Captain Brady and his son are awesome!"
