The Baltimore Ravens opened training camp a bit early this year.

Since the team is playing in the Hall of Fame game in early August, our families from Casey Cares got to be part of the early start! 

Thanks to the Ravens, about 60 Casey Cares program participants were able to enjoy an afternoon at training camp watching their favorite players practice and then receive autographs afterward. There were plenty of selfies and photos to be had, and the players were especially generous with their time - they chatted with our families and provided much-needed smiles to our kids. The Ravens recently remodeled their training facility, and our Casey Cares families loved checking out the new grounds! 

One girl, 9-year-old Marayah, was so determined to be at training camp that she went out to practice straight from undergoing an infusion treatment at Johns Hopkins Hospital. (To read more about Marayah's day, click here)

Another girl in our programs, Kataleya, who is being treated for clear cell sarcoma at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C., enjoyed her break from the hospital. Ravens linebacker Matthew Judon even took off his cleats from practice, signed them and handed them to her mom as a keepsake. A young boy named Terron taught Judon the "Megatron" dance. 

Everyone who came out to camp had a great afternoon, and we are grateful to the Baltimore Ravens for their continued support. Thanks so much for creating little moments and lasting memories for the kids and families at Casey Cares!
