We love hosting Caring Connections Group Parties and over the past couple weeks, we've held three of them in which over 200 people attended - what a great turn out!
Our Caring Connection Group Parties are a super fun and important part of our programs. We started hosting them after receiving feedback from social workers about the needs of families coping with their childs diagnosis and treatment of life-threatening illnesses. The main purpose of these parties is to give families much needed time to meet each other, share experiences, learn from each other, develop support systems and of course, have fun.
On October 12, our kids and their families set sail aboard the Boomerang Pirate Cruise in Georgetown! They enjoyed a day at sea with pirate characters and treasure hunt!
On the 19th, families got to experience the perfect fall day filled with hay riding, pumpkin picking, a corn maze, petting zoo, refreshments and other fall treats at Rodger's Farm! A special thanks goes to TEKsystems for coming out to volunteer and Andrea Stein for taking awesome pictures for us!
Most recently on the 27th, The Sons of The American Legion hosted our family picnic! Our kids got to get of the house on a rainy day to do some crafting, watch the football game and eat lunch!
We love to see our kiddos connecting and having fun at these parties and can't wait for more to come!
