Thanks to the Washington Capitals, two Casey Cares boys and a family member got to see the hockey team in action!
Going in-person to see the Capitals play was a highlight for Thomas because they are one of his favorite sports teams! Thomas is an incredible 8-year-old who is diagnosed with Glioma, a type of brain tumor. His mother Christine said that Thomas and his older sister had an absolute blast! "Thank you so much for opportunity!!" she says.
This Capitals game was also special to Roland, who has been with the Casey Cares family for over three years. The family states, "Please let the donor of the CAPS tickets know how grateful we were that Roland and his dad had the opportunity to attend the game. Roland and his dad had such a great time! Three days later and Roland is still talking about the game, the fans, and the great seats! Let me not forget, he absolutely loved the CAPS jersey!!! Thank you so much!"
What made the game even better for Roland was the Capitals winning 9-2 over the Canadiens!
We’re so incredibly glad that together, Casey Cares and the Washington Capitals raised the spirits of two critically ill children. Thank you for supporting our palliative programs!
