A Special Night at the Ballpark for a Casey Cares Illinois Family
Did you know Casey Cares serves families in 48 states across the country? That includes families right here in Chicago and throughout Illinois!
Meet Justin, a 17-year-old Casey Cares kid who receives care through Rush Children’s Hospital in Chicago. Justin and his family have been part of the Casey Cares community through several of our programs, receiving care packages and Movie & Pizza Night packages that bring a little fun and comfort home during difficult days.
Recently, Justin got another opportunity to make a special memory, this time at the ballpark!
Justin attended a Chicago White Sox game with his mom and even got to bring a friend along for the fun. For a teenager whose life can include hospital visits, treatments and appointments, getting the chance to simply hang out with a buddy and enjoy a baseball game can mean so much.
And the White Sox gave them even more to celebrate with a win!
At Casey Cares, we believe in supporting not only the critically ill child, but the entire family. From care packages delivered during hospital stays to cozy Movie & Pizza Nights at home and exciting outings in the community, our programs give families opportunities to step away from the stress of serious illness and make happy memories together.
