Join the Casey Cares Foundation for our 17th Annual 5K Run/1-Mile Walk on August 1st! Proceeds from the race will support programs for families with critically ill children. The chip-timed 3.1 mile run/1-mile walk will be held at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore. Participants will receive a tech shirt, race bib and finisher medal. We’ll have awards for the largest team, most spirited team and top fundraising team, so share with your family, friends and sign up today!
Tech T-Shirt Deadline – July 17th! (Note – children 8 years and under do not receive a race shirt.) Registration for the race is open through August 1st, and both individuals and teams are encouraged to register.
For guests who would like to stay and enjoy the Zoo exhibits after the race, we are offering add-on Zoo admission tickets for $15 per person.
All ticket purchases are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, your ticket will be considered a donation to support Casey Cares Foundation and the families we serve.
When Cyrus was just six years old, he was battling leukemia, but that didn’t stop him from stepping onto the field to throw the first pitch at an Orioles game with the biggest smile on his face.
Since his diagnosis in 2015, Cyrus has faced countless treatments and long hospital days at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg Children’s Center, yet his courage and joy never waver. He’s been part of the Casey Cares family since that same year, creating moments of happiness through zoo adventures, birthday surprises, and special outings like Disney on Ice.
Every ticket purchased helps make experiences like Cyrus’s possible — giving kids the chance to dream big, smile wide, and keep shining through even the toughest battles.
