Nine-year-old Kalliope has a smile that lights up every room, and on this special day, she lit up the entire ballpark! After bravely battling Pre-B Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) and spending years in treatment at Johns Hopkins, Kalliope had the honor of throwing out the first pitch at an Orioles game — a moment full of joy, strength, and celebration.
Kalliope joined the Casey Cares family in 2023, and throughout her journey, we’ve been honored to bring her family moments of happiness and relief through movie and pizza nights, cozy PJ deliveries, and a fun-filled pirate party.
Now off treatment and doing great, Kalliope’s story reminds us what hope looks like, and how every act of kindness helps families get through the hardest chapters to reach moments like this.
