A Special Afternoon with Dillon at Sarasota Polo Club
For 11-year-old Dillon Hollis, an afternoon spent with animals was an opportunity to enjoy something he loves while making memories with his family.
Dillon, who has cystic fibrosis, recently visited the Sarasota Polo Club for a special Casey Cares experience. There, he met Felicity, a horse he got to wash, feed, and walk. For a child who absolutely loves animals, this hands-on time made the afternoon especially meaningful.
The visit also gave Dillon and his family a behind-the-scenes look at the club, where they learned more about polo and the care that goes into working with the horses.
But the kindness didn’t end when the afternoon was over. The family received an invitation to return to the barn anytime to spend time with the horses, giving Dillon something wonderful to look forward to beyond this one visit.
At Casey Cares, we know how much these moments matter. Opportunities to explore an interest, try something new, and spend time together give critically ill children and their families a welcome break from the demands of ongoing medical care.
Thank you to the Sarasota Polo Club for welcoming Dillon and his family and helping us create little moments with lasting memories!
