How Casey Cares Supports Families Like Mckynlee’s

At just one year old, Mckynlee has already shown the world what true strength looks like. Born prematurely on May 4, 2024, she has faced significant medical challenges from her very first day, including bronchopulmonary dysplasia, a trach, and a g-tube. Despite these hurdles, her bright personality shines through every moment, bringing joy to everyone around her.

Mckynlee joined the Casey Cares family in October 2025, and since then, we’ve had the privilege of supporting her and her loved ones through simple but meaningful moments of comfort and joy. From a cozy Movie & Pizza Night at home to grocery gift cards that help ease the burden on her family during long medical days, every gesture is meant to remind them they are not alone.

One of her most magical surprises so far was a beautiful Rapunzel wig from The Magic Yarn Project, a gift that instantly lit up her face and made her feel like the princess she truly is. Her smile in that moment is exactly why we do what we do.
