Paddle Up for a Purpose: A Winning Night for Casey Cares
This past Friday, supporters, sponsors, and players came together for the 3rd Annual Casey Cares Paddle Up for a Purpose Pickleball Tournament, and what an incredible evening it was. From the first serve to the final point, the energy, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship on the courts made this one of our most successful tournaments yet.
Because of the generosity of everyone involved, this event will have a meaningful and lasting impact on the children and families served by the Casey Cares Foundation. Together, this year’s tournament will help provide:
- A 2.5-year supply of pajamas delivered to local hospitals
- 300 Movie & Pizza Night packages for hospitalized or homebound children
- A special day at the Maryland Zoo for 230 families, offering joyful moments away from medical routines
These moments, simple, joyful, and full of connection, are at the heart of what Casey Cares provides to families navigating incredibly difficult circumstances.
We are especially grateful to our dedicated committee members, Barry Herman, Lance Scott, and Ben Salsbury, whose leadership, commitment, and generosity helped bring this event to life. From organizing the tournament to rallying players and sponsors, their impact was felt in every detail of the evening.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to all of our sponsors, partners, and players who helped create such a positive and memorable experience both on and off the courts.

We can’t wait to see everyone back on the courts next year!
