A Special Day at the Philadelphia Zoo for Cecilia
At Casey Cares, every program we offer is designed to bring joy, comfort, and cherished memories to children who are facing life-threatening illnesses. Recently, we were honored to provide a fun-filled day at the Philadelphia Zoo for 3-year-old Cecilia and her family.
Cecilia has shown incredible strength since her diagnosis of pulmonary hypertension and bronchopulmonary dysplasia on March 30, 2022. Despite the many challenges her family has faced, she continues to light up every room with her smile and boundless curiosity.
During her zoo adventure, Cecilia had the chance to experience the wonder of animals up close, explore the exhibits, and simply enjoy being a child. Days like this not only give children a chance to escape the everyday turmoil of treatments and doctor visits, but also give their families a moment to breathe, laugh, and create happy memories together.
