More Than 600 Runners Unite for Critically Ill Children at Casey Cares 5K
On Saturday, August 2, more than 600 runners and walkers gathered at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore for the 16th Annual Casey Cares 5K—united by purpose, community spirit, and a shared goal of making life brighter for critically ill children. Thanks to their incredible support, this year’s event alone can provide 1,250 Movie Pizza Nights to children facing serious medical challenges and their families.
Participants of all ages and paces came together for the scenic run through The Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, cheered on by volunteers, families, and supporters. The morning was full of high energy and even higher impact.
This year’s top finishers in the men’s division were:
🥇 John Gast
🥈 Rolan Selby
🥉 Michael Drummond
For the women’s division:
🥇 Grace Cabrera
🥈 Rachel Beall
🥉 Teri Welsh
We also want to recognize a few standout contributors who went above and beyond:
