Archana Reddy
Archana’s journey into walking began with a simple but powerful motivation — her health. What started as a personal goal quickly blossomed into a fulfilling routine that brought both physical and emotional rewards.
“I was motivated by health reasons to start walking again last year,” she shared. “After three months, it felt really good and gave me a boost in both energy and motivation. So I kept going, working toward my goal of 10,000 steps a day.”
For Archana, the best part of walking is reconnecting with nature. “Being outdoors in scenic parks is so good for the body, mind, and spirit,” she said. Whether it’s a quiet trail or a vibrant community event, every walk brings her peace and purpose.
Her must-have? A bottle of water — especially during those summer walks — to stay hydrated and feeling strong.
To those just beginning their own journey, Archana offers this advice:
“Don’t be hard on yourself. Start with a few steps and keep building up. Once you start, the motivation will come.”
Archana’s connection to Casey Cares began last August when she started volunteering by rolling pajamas for children. That simple act of service led to even deeper involvement — including helping with the annual gala.
“I’m passionate about supporting children with cancer, and Casey Cares is a great cause,” she said.
She first walked in the Casey Cares 5K last year and was immediately drawn in by the energy and kindness around her. “The camaraderie, the setting, and the amazing volunteers made it such a memorable experience. I knew I had to come back.”
